How Do You Use Apricot Kernel Oil?
Hunza apricot kernel oil — cold-pressed from the kernels inside Hunza apricot stones — is one of the most versatile natural oils available.
In the Kitchen
Apricot kernel oil has a light, clean flavour with a subtle nuttiness and a high smoke point (around 215°C).
- Sautéing and stir-frying — replace refined vegetable oil for a cleaner alternative.
- Salad dressings — light texture and mild flavour work well in vinaigrettes.
- Drizzling — over roasted vegetables, soups, or bread as a finishing oil.
For Skin
- Daily moisturiser — apply 3–5 drops to damp skin after bathing.
- Facial oil — massage a few drops into clean skin morning or evening. Rich in vitamins A and E.
- Dry patches — apply undiluted to elbows, knees, heels, and lips.
For Hair
- Pre-wash treatment — work a tablespoon through dry hair, leave 30 minutes, then shampoo.
- Leave-in conditioner — smooth 1–2 drops through damp ends after washing.
